“The purpose of Student Foundation is to serve the university by connecting alumni and supporters of the institution with the school’s student body.”
As representatives of the student body, members of Student Foundation will uphold university rules, maintain a dedication to academics, and practice leadership while exhibiting a positive attitude toward the institution.
Student Foundation Members
Luke is a nursing major from New Braunfels. He is a scholarship recipient. Luke is inolved in SGA, Cru for Life, and Welcome Week. He wants to start off working in trauma care and eventually serve on Navy ships.
Adrian is an economics major from San Marcos. He is a scholarship recipient. Adrian is involved in Mid-Tex Young Life, Junior Class Vice President, and Hope for the Hungry. He loves cycling and would love to work as an economist for Specialized, one of the largest cycling companies.
Jacob is a Christian studies major from the south Houston area. He is a scholarship recipient. Jacob is involved in Easter Pageant, Cru Leader, and SearchCru. His dad is a pastor and Christian counselor, and his mom teaches kindergarten. Jacob would love to be a pastor or a missionary.
Caleb is a marketing major from Montana. He is a scholarship recipient. He is involved in the BSM, First Year Council, and CAB. Both his parents graduated from UMHB. Caleb would love to working in marketing for a startup company, and also feels called to be a worship leader at a church.
Laurin is an accounting and international business double-major from West Orange, New Jersey. She is a scholarship recipient. She is involved in First Year Council, Gamma Beta Phi, and SearchCru. Laurin wants to become an international auditor, hoping to become a CFO for a Not-for-Profit.
Haleigh is a public relations major from La Vernia. She is a scholarship recipient. Haleigh is involved in Women's Tennis, Gamma Beta Phi, and Welcome Week Steering Committee. Her great aunt graduated from UMHB. Haleigh wants to pursue a career in public relations or marketing.
Joey is a social work major from Boerne. He is a scholarship recipient. Joey is involved in Welcome Week Steering Committee, Gamma Beta Phi, and the BSM. His goal is to become a school social worker and work with underprivileged students.
Kendall is a business management and marketing major. She is a scholarship recipient. She is involved in Women's Basketball, Gamma Beta Phi, and FCA. Kendall wants to own her own business or take over her dad's business as a financial advisor.
Shelby is an EC-6 Education Generalist major. She is a scholarship recipient. Shelby is involved in Hope for the Hungry, Gamma Beta Phi, and Vista Community Church small groups. She wants to teach elementary school, preferably 3rd or 4th grade.
Corey is a pre-PT major. He is a scholarship recipient. Corey is involved in C-Life Bible Study and Men's Soccer. He wants to become a physical therapist and own his own private practice, ideally working with injured athletes.
