Students are invited to contact Counseling Services at 254-295-4696 during business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) or email email@example.com if you would like to schedule a time to speak to a counselor. We are currently offering online counseling as well as face to face counseling services.
For new and returning clients, you will be asked to complete intake paperwork online prior to your appointment. The intake can be found on your MyCampus log in page, under Counseling Services. Once intake paperwork is completed, you will be contacted to be scheduled for an appointment. Appointments will be scheduled within a few days of the request, depending on counselors’ and students’ schedules. If requesting online services, you will receive an email with instructions about how to complete an online informed consent that provides information about teletherapy services.
Clinical counseling services are available only to currently enrolled UMHB students who find themselves in need of assistance with a wide variety of difficulties ranging from decision-making to personal awareness and understanding. Counseling services are offered on a short-term basis by appointment only. When appropriate, referrals are made to mental health providers in the local area. Students can be assured they are receiving top-quality, professional counseling in a completely confidential setting.
