Dean's Welcome

Welcome to the College of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Our purpose is to promote excellence through artistic practice and scholarship within the framework of a faith-informed environment. We are dedicated to producing artists, performers, and scholars of unique creative thought and insightful Christian faith.

With programs in art education, studio art, graphic design, church music, music education, worship technology, music business and performance, our students are developing an understanding of and appreciation for the important role of the visual and performing arts in society. Our students and faculty are engaging with creativity and commitment from the practice room to the studio, the performance hall to the gallery, the classroom to the mission field.
