Communication and Media Studies
The Department of Communication and Media Studies offers majors in Speech Communication, Mass Communication (with emphases in Journalism and Public Relations) and Film Studies. Our goal is to produce graduates who can think critically, reason morally, write and speak with precision and impact, and present performances in a variety of media to audiences of all types.
The strongest trait I have recognized from certain faculty members is how they develop different students. Everyone learns or communicates in different ways. But most of the faculty know how to develop and help all students in this department learn and succeed.
