School of Exercise and Sport Science
The School of Exercise and Sport Science provides distinctive academic programs which prepare undergraduate and graduate students to engage in healthy behaviors and active lifestyles throughout their lives and pursue exciting careers in the dynamic sport and fitness industry. The school’s state-of-the-art Human Performance Lab offers myriad opportunities for students to participate in undergraduate and graduate-level research, and the school’s dedicated faculty members serve as both teachers and mentors to their students. All are dedicated to the mission of helping students prepare leaders in public and private schools and sports-related industries, who will demonstrate service to others and model faith-informed decision-making.
Whether you want to be an athletic director, a dietician, a sports facility manager, or go into sports marketing, the School of Exercise and Sport Science offers a curriculum designed to prepare you for entrance into a multi-faceted, sport/fitness-related career. EXSS majors also obtain the educational foundation to pursue advanced degrees in related fields necessary to pursue a career as a sports agent, physical therapist, exercise scientist, or sports psychologist, to name only a few. Opportunities are wide open with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science!
The experience I had was one based on community. I did not realize how important it was to have friends who push you to follow Jesus better on a daily basis. This is something I still carry with me today.
