Human Performance Lab
The HPL Mission
The Human Performance Laboratory (HPL) in the School of Exercise & Sport Science at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is dedicated to evaluating various aspects of human performance and the various interactions associated with exercise training, supplementation, and nutritional intervention. The HPL is dedicated to serving all research participants with superior care, quality, and respect. Every decision and every action by the employees should move the lab in this direction.
The HPL originated in the School of Exercise & Sport Science at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2004. The HPL was developed to support the activity of the new Exercise Science Masters Degree at UMHB, to support the research endeavors of the faculty and the academic goals of the School of Exercise & Sport Science. Since the fall of 2006, the HPL had undergone several renovations and equipment upgrades to support the HPL mission. Currently, the HPL is conducting several ongoing internal and externally funded research trials that fall under the HPL mission. In addition, the researchers of the HPL maintain an active agenda for collaborative research with various professionals across the country.
