Welcome to the Master of Science in Sport Administration program website. The School of Exercise and Sport Science at UMHB offers a fully online master’s degree in Sport Administration, which can be completed in as few as twelve months.
The Master of Science in Sport Administration graduate degree prepares students in the program for careers linked to athletic organizations and sport programs, such as secondary and collegiate athletic departments, sport and fitness facilities, professional sport organizations, and community and athletic associations. As the program director, my goal is to provide a student-centered online educational learning experience that imparts sport administration valued knowledge and skills, such as leadership, research based perspectives, and critical thinking, in the development and preparation of our students.
Our program provides students’ knowledge in diverse areas of sport administration, such as sport law, human resources management, organizational behavior, sport facilities management, and sport marketing. Students are actively involved in creating our learning community through the sharing of their knowledge and perspective through online discussions. A student’s professional development in sport administration is attained from the practical activities incorporated into their course assignments. Because of these educational experiences, we believe our students are prepared to serve and lead in an assortment of areas within a sport organization.
