The Windhover Writers' Festival
The Windhover Writers’ Festival is hosted by the literary journal The Windhover at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. Each February the festival brings in featured presenters who give readings and lead workshops. In addition to the main events, the festival also features panels comprised of local, regional, and national writers sharing their poetry, fiction, and nonfiction.
The arrangement of the festival benefits writers of all levels because they hear and see the expertise on display in the main events, interact with the featured presenters in workshops, and network with fellow writers. Our goal is to create a space where writers of all levels can find encouragement and learn to be better writers.
We are excited to announce our roster of featured presenters for the 2019 festival, which will take place February 13-15. Novelist Daniel Taylor, poet D. S. Martin, essayist Sarah M. Wells, and musical duo Still on the Hill will be sharing their excellent creative works.
We are now reviewing proposals for writers to share their original works. View the full Call for Papers below. Deadline is November 15.See the Call for Papers
