Mission and Statistics

Library Mission

Townsend Memorial Library supports the University's mission. The library faculty and staff are committed to quality service, continuous learning, and academic excellence in a Christian context.

Library faculty and staff will provide access to a wide range and depth of resources and will teach critical skills to find, evaluate, and synthesize useful materials supporting curricular, vocational, and life-long learning needs.

The library cooperates in the development, implementation, and integration of campus electronic information policy. The library will support instruction, research, creativity, and the advancement and transmission of knowledge as the University prepares students for careers and community service. The library will provide an intellectual refuge of supportive and open inquiry to students and faculty as an integral part of effective teaching in a Christian environment.
